Ben Giroux and his writing partner, Arnie Pantoja, recently wrapped production on a pilot presentation for their comedy series, Shortcomings. The star-studded six-minute presentation features Mindy Sterling (Austin Powers), Jerry Trainor (iCarly), Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect), Cooper Barnes (Henry Danger), Martin Klebba (Pirates of the Caribbean), and more.
About Shortcomings:
Two short buddies struggle for respect while working as stand-ins for children on a super-fucking-awful musical kids tv sitcom, but their uphill pursuit for legitimacy only reveals their shortcomings. It’s a 30 minute single camera comedy with some brief multi-cam moments — Extras meets Curb Your Enthusiasm with the backdrop of a shitty kids show.
